The best way to reduce these type of noise levels is to break the contact between the floor and ceiling by creating either a full floating floor above or a Full Independent Ceiling below.

A) Resilient/Sound Breaker Bars
When you have a restriction to loss of ceiling height, then this may be the only solution to consider.Even though this is the thinnest solution, it still does have a good improvement in both impact and airborne noise been transmitted between ceiling /floor areas whilst also providing some improvement to thermal insulation….
This solution is used to upgrade existing timber joists or concrete construction ceilings if some ceiling height can be lost. It does perform a little better than the resilient bar solution on both airborne and impact noise …
If your ceiling is of a standard plasterboard construction, to further enhance the Acoustic Hanger ceiling solution and without taking any additional ceiling height, the current ceiling can be removed and an additional layer of 100mm rock-wool can be added between the current joists. A layer of 5kg sound matting can also be added before installing the Acoustic hangers.
Have high ceilings and can afford to lose a bit of height, then the Full Independent Ceiling solution is for you…..This solution is one of our most effective ways of soundproofing any ceiling as it will decouple the new structure from the current structure, leaving flanking noise influencing the improvement results…

H) Resilient Bars
We have taken the standard Resilient bar system to the next level…by adding the 15mm Acoustic dB board to the solution which will replace the 19mm sound plank….
Our standard independent ceiling has been improved by adding the new 15mm Acoutsic dB boards to the solution….
This is by far the best ceiling solution on offer… Not only is it independent ….Not only are the new Genie clips used, but it also has the 15mm Acoustic dB boards added to it…
