When we decided to have our ceilings soundproofed we sought quotations and chose Soundproofing R Us Ltd because their assessment visit was prompt, their response was quick and their costs were competitive. (We did get other quotes). Daniel explained everything clearly and professionally because he really knows his stuff in the soundproofing business. The start and finish date for the work were fixed well in advance and these dates were kept to exactly (unusual in my experience). (very unusually in my experience) The quality of the work was excellent and all the workers were fantastic – very hard working, quick and willing. Daniel organised the supply of materials faultlessly so no time was wasted. There were some problems with getting bedroom cupboards back in place, but he overcame these problems very well. We found the company to be most pleasant to deal with; straight, resourceful and reliable. The results are very good – just exactly as we were advised by Daniel in the beginning. We’re very glad we did it and glad we chose this company.

I have found Soundproofing R Us Ltd to be one of the most reliable and professional tradesman's I have used, and am very happy with his recommendations and quality of work; we installed an in dependant wall for our bedroom party wall in 1/2 a day. After the work had been completed, everything was cleared away with no trace of tradesmen having ever being there! Throughout and leading up to organising the work, Soundproofing R Us Ltd was responsive and very helpful and answered all my queries.I plan to soundproof the other party walls in the future, and will definitely be turning to Daniel's firm. Reputations are only as good as the last job and from my experience, I would definitely recommend Daniel to my friends/family.

Having glanced through the many recommendations on Daniel's website I feel that there is very little I can add. Like everyone else I have found him to be highly efficient and conscientious in that he has soundproofed three of my walls quickly and competently. He is an extremely pleasant person to have around, making a difficult job able to be carried out as smoothly as possible. And, what is more he removes building materials as he goes along, leaving the place clean and tidy at the end of the day. A definite bonus!I would certainly use Daniel and his firm again and can certainly recommend his work with confidence.

Daniel and his team have done a fantastic, professional job in sound proofing a number of our walls in our house which has significantly reduced the noise from next door.Through out the process Daniel and his team were polite, friendly, professional and completed an excellent job with absolutely no fuss.I will definitely use them again if I need to and will highly recommend them to friends and family.To top it off Daniel also brought me some South African beer (Castle) which I’m pleased to say went down a treat.

We bought a basement flat in a Victorian conversion completely oblivious to the fact that there was zero soundproofing. The noise from upstairs, caused by our neighbours' normal living movements was causing untold misery and annoyance. We could not do anything without constant interruptions from above. Each meal, tv programme, conversation etc was punctuated by thudding from above. Needless to say, it was becoming more and more stressful as time went on - to the point where I did not want to go home! We could even hear our neighbours peeing above our bedroom and the dog scuttling across the floor! Not pleasant, but you can't stop people from just living!.. Our neighbours are a nice family and it was starting to cause a lot of resentment which we wanted to avoid.As this started to become a quality of life issue we decided we had to seek out some proper soundproofing advice. That's when we got in touch with Daniel from Soundproofing R Us. He came round on time as promised (unlike another competitor) and gave us a realistic idea on the outcome of having soundproofing done. That was, that the noise would not be 100% obliterated but it would be at least 75% reduced.Daniel and his professional team soundproofed our living room and bedroom. Both took from Tues to Thurs only. The living room ceiling was quite low. It had to be cut out first before work was carried out and as you could imagine it released over a hundred years worth of dust and debris! We weren't there at the time but the room was left in a decent state when we got home later that evening.To summarise, we are extremely satisfied with the results and will be asking Daniel to come and soundproof under upstairs' staircase (footsteps which still thunders through the house) and the hallway in due course.If you have the same problem as what we had, I would highly recommend you contact Daniel. Please be mindful though, that you need to consider plastering and decorating as this needs to be done without a doubt.Good luck!

I am happy to provide a reference with regard to the works you have carried out in installing a new bathroom suite and redecorating both the bathroom and hallway.The works were carried out within the agreed timeframe and to a high standard. I am very pleased with the end result which has transformed our home and is a delight to see each day.The people who were working on this job were always polite, informative and readily contactable. I was happy to leave the team to carry out the works even whilst I was on holiday and found the team to be entirely trustworthy. It was lovely to come home from our holiday to see the end result which makes our home so much brighter. I have recently had 5 ceilings soundproofed as I was experiencing impact noise from the flat above and this was seriously affecting my sleep and health. At last I have been able to get a good nights sleep which is fantastic. Dan and his team worked really hard as we were on a tight timescale and did all the work including coving, plastering and decorating within two weeks which was much appreciated. I can highly recommend to anyone who is experiencing similar problems.

Soundproofing-R-Us installed soundproofing in our living room ceiling to reduce impact and airborne sound. They also redecorated the room after the soundproofing was completed. The noise reduction has been significant, before the upstairs neighbour could be clearly heard talking and moving around, now hardly any airborne noise is audible and the impact noise is significantly reduced. The work was done to a very high standard with attention to detail. The workmen were very friendly, punctual and cleared up at the end of each day. As we were using the living room in the evening this was very much appreciated. I can definitely recommend Soundproofing-R-Us.Soundproofing-R-Us redecorated a rental property after the last tenants left it in a terrible state. All rooms were decorated, the garden was tidied and the bathroom replaced. As the property is for rental the work needed to be completed in a very short space of time to allow it to be let again, the workmen worked very hard to achieve this and finished on time, often working late into the night. The work was also carried out to a high standard leaving the property in a much better state than the last tenants left it in!

Initially, when you explained what needed to be done, the work sounded very complicated, and the process lengthy. However, you and your team, worked hard, and very efficiently over the two days that it took and made it seem 'easy' and 'seamless'. In fact it was a pleasure to have you working here (which is the first time I have said this to someone doing work to our flat!), as you kept me updated of all the process and of the stage that you were at. I really appreciated also the fact that you saw the project through, by staying with the plasterer to ensure that the job was finished properly. Since the ceiling has been soundproofed we have not heard any noise, which keeps surprising us, as we used to hear our upstairs neighbours every time they walked into their kitchen. The results are outstanding.Thank you very much for your hard work. The soundproofing is very effective and as such am sleeping much better. It has reduced the noise considerably by 97%. I can here a slight noise when they scream but it is very faint and doesn't feel like they are next to me and I can still hear a bit when they walk around loudly. All in all I am extremely happy with the work you have done. It is really nice to finally have a good nights sleep as I am a really light sleeper so any noise generally wakes me up. Also the finish to the wall was much better than previously so that is an extra bonus. Thanks for all your hard work.

Here's what happened in my flat for anyone with a similar problem. I moved into a flat for the first time and realised how intrusive noise from neighbours can be - in this case from the people above. I could hear everything they did as well as footfall noise which became extremely irritating.I then looked around the internet for quotes and found that SoundproofingRus was one of the most affordable - some of the others were for four times the amount.I booked them in to provide a floating ceiling. The work was carried out quickly and without any inconvenience to me. I found the company helpful and pleasant to deal with. Furthermore, the work was carried out to a very good standard so that there was no mess afterwards and the new ceiling looks as good as before and maybe better.It has been a few weeks since the job was done and the noise has gone from being invasive and annoying to barely noticable. I would recommend to anyone with a similar roblem that they get this done and I have no hesitation in recomending Daniel's company.

I contacted Soundproofing R US in December 2006 regarding soundproofing for one wall of a new build studio flat due to unwanted noise from neighbours. They got back to me promptly with a quote for two possible systems. I chose the less expensive system, which when installed, eliminated unwanted noise, and made loud music coming from the flat next door sound distant. Despite horrendous weather (6 inches of snow) and the ensuing traffic chaos, Soundproofing R Us managed to get to my flat and install the soundproofing in the bedroom in the 2 days they had estimated. They worked extremely hard and made a great effort to keep the flat as clean as possible while the work was going on, and even removed some very stubborn coving without charging extra. The impact noise from upstairs seems greatly reduced, and we have barely noticed the previous thumping bass, which was a major bug-bear. Also, the final finish of the plastering was excellent. I have recommended Soundproofing R Us to a friend of mine with a similar problem, and would use them again for any further work. - System Used Acoustic Hanger Type C Cheers!
