I would say that firstly the team were extremely good at time keeping. Their work was highly professional and they cleared up each day to a very high standard. I would not hesitate in recomending them. I had a new floating wall fitted to my bedroom which has been amazing. Totally improved my quality of life. I could hear the loud sound of guitar playing in the hallway but when I closed the door I could not hear anything in the bedroom. The noise of the radio which used to wake me in the morning is hopefully now going to be a distant memory. I had the M20 panels fitted in my lounge and there has been a little improvement but the real value has been the bedroom. If you can afford (space and money wise) to have a floating wall I would suggest that option. Far better results. Very please and although some would say the work is expensive, it's far cheaper than moving and there is no price on your health. It's a long term investment and well worth it. I have a Victorian Terrace and I consider that I have simply brought the walls up to modern day standards.

I had a problem with the noise from my upstairs neighbours which was becoming a bit of a drain.

My upstairs neighbours are an old guy who is plainly quite deaf and his grandson who looks after him and has a terrible music collection.

We live in an old purpose built maisonette which has very poor sound insulation and this meant that the TV upstairs could be heard quite clearly in our lounge. This would disturb our TV watching if the program we had on went quiet as our enjoyment would be impaired by the noise from upstairs.

Due to the deafness of the old guy, conversations are more like shouting matches and lying in bed on a Sunday morning, it would sometimes seem as though they were in our flat with us.

The final straws belong to Michael Jackson and Jon Bon Jovi. The weekend that Michael Jackson died, the grandson suddenly became the world’s biggest Michael Jackson fan and insisted on playing the one album he owns or has downloaded, over and over. There are only so many times you can hear “Beat it” before it gets annoying. My limit is one time, so it got annoying very quickly.

This was followed the next morning by an argument over the answer to a radio quiz phone in question, the answer of course being Bon Jovi. I’m not quite sure how the two of them got into a shouty discussion about the answer, but five minutes of shouting “it IS Bon Jovi I tell you” etc became very wearing.

That afternoon I started looking for soundproofing solutions and came across Daniel’s company. I spoke to him by phone in the week and he gave me some advice and guideline costs.

I decided that I would go ahead and have the ceilings soundproofed in both bedrooms, the hall and the lounge. The lounge and the bedrooms were the rooms having the most noise and I didn’t want to leave the hall free for noise to come through.

I’m not sure I can recommend Daniel and his team highly enough. They were an absolute pleasure to work with. They turned up on time each morning, they were extremely tidy and left the flat very clean at the end of each day.

As we were living in the flat while the work was going on, there was quite a bit of disruption for us and the working conditions for Daniel and his team can’t have been optimal, but they made it as easy as possible for us.

We did one room at a time, with the spare room and hallway happening together.

The finished job is brilliant, the ceilings look exactly the way they did before the work started, the only difference being that they are a few inches lower. Our ceilings were quite high anyway, so this really is unnoticeable.

Now for the noise.

If we have no TV or music on and listen carefully, sometimes we can make out the TV. I’m guessing he hasn’t suddenly regained his hearing so I can only assume the level of soundproofing we have is dampening the noise to an almost inaudible level.

We can still hear shouting, but it is now muffled and not as loud as people outside in the street so it is not obvious where it is coming from.

Bizarrely, we now get noise via the bathroom or kitchen, where we haven’t had the ceilings done (yet) and now keep their doors closed if we are after quiet time.

Daniel is easy to deal with, polite, careful and trustworthy. He is someone who appreciates it is your home he is in and treats it with respect.

The quality of work he and his team perform is faultless. I’m sure next time upstairs floods their bathroom and we need our ceiling replaced (this has happened twice so far!) I’ll be contacting Daniel so that we can soundproof that room too.

The soundproofing has significantly improved the noise levels from upstairs in the front room, particularly the sound of footsteps. The workmanship and professionalism was exemplary. Having suffered 3 years of sleepless nights due to noisy neighbours upstairs walking around on creaky wooden floorboards above my bedroom, I only wish I had known about Soundproofing R Us when I first moved into my flat and how easy and inexpensive the soundproofing process would be. The soundproofing has resulted in a remarkable improvement; I'd say it has reduced the noise from our upstairs neighbours by about 75 - 80%. We can still hear them, but you expect some noise living in the city, but they no longer wake us up in the night. Many thanks, we should have had it done a year ago!

I just bought a small converted Studio Flat and even though that my surveyor mentioned at the time that the flat was not up to standard with regards to soundinsulation I did not think it would be that bad! You could hear talking, coughing & TV-sound from the flat next door, was really bad and felt very uncomfortable just beeing there as felt like the neighbours could hear any little noise and as the flat is a Studio Flat there was nowhere else to go.So I contacted Soundproofing R Us which suggested to add an Independent Wall and to build a little lobby area (with soundinsulation) and also to add a new door to the lobby.Even though I lost some space building the extra wall and the lobby area it was well worth it as I can barely not hear the neighbours at all (only if I have the door to the lobby area open). Although I can sometimes hear when the neighbours slam the door to their flat.I would definitely recommend Daniel and his team to others as I had all my questions and concerns (I always asks lots of questions =)) answered promptly before work was commerced. The team were friendly and polite and arrived on time and worked really hard.

It's now two weeks since your team completed the soundproofing work in our lounge and bedroom so we've had a bit of time to assess the difference it has made. Previously we could often hear our neighbours' loud conversations and their surround sound TV could be heard above the sound of our own. Any sound we hear now is much less intrusive and quite faint. It has therefore made a big difference to us and we are very pleased. As we mentioned to you we are thinking of having the back rooms done as well which tells you how satisfied we are. Your team were pleasant and hard working and did a good job. They even got to us for 8am when there was thick snow on the ground!

We can hardly hear anything from next door now in the two rooms. Most of the time there is absolute silence. Occasionally we hear a faint noise if they have loud music on - the odd high pitched sound gets through but the rest is pretty much inaudible.
